  An absolute delight! Popped in for a quiet pint with friends whilst I was visiting from Barcelona, and was welcomed into the fold immediately. The interior holds true to a traditional pub; log fire, wooden beams, a real homely feel. The selection of ale is exceptional, and, according to the regualrs, changes frequently. The staff go way beyond what a regular customer could expect - friendly, kind and willing. And the FOOD! My word. What was meant to be a light bar snack resulted in me visiting another two times to ensure that I got to try as much as possible - from a pulled chicken pizza to a melt-in-your-mouth lamb shank. Child friendly, plenty of comfortable seating, great company, live music and functions, and an overall lovely atmosphere. Thanks to all! And cheers for the recommendation to get the Abbot, Ian ;)
